Course Admins

There is a new section in the Admin Panel called Course Admins. This new tab allows site admins to see a list of all the course facilitators for the site in one place. To be a course admin and appear in this list the user must be a facilitator in at least one course. A course admin can be any user who has full access, editing access, or grading access in a course. To see this new feature in your site follow the steps below.

  1. While logged into an Admin account, click on the Admin Panel button on the home page.

Credit Precision

Some accreditation bodies have strict requirements for how CEU's, or credit types, are displayed and presented to users. For example, IACET requires CEUs be presented with a single decimal point. To account for this, we have added a precision field to the credit object that allows you to select how many places after the decimal point to display on transcripts and certificates. This is a required field when creating new credits and will default to the current number of 0.00 unless changed. The precision can be changed to 0.0 if you want only one place after the decimal point to appear when displaying the CEU’s. Currently the only options for precision are 0.0 (1 place) and 0.00 (2 places). To set up the precision for the credits on your site follow these steps.

  1. While logged into an Admin account, click on the Admin Panel button on the home page.

Profile Fields

We have added a Contact Info section to user profiles. The new fields within this section include address and phone number as well as email address which had previously been found in the About section of the profile. These fields are only visible to site admins and the user that owns the profile. They cannot be seen by other end users when viewing someone's profile. To make changes to these profile fields follow these steps.

  1. Select your profile icon and select View Profile.

Video Completion Reports

We have made some tweaks to the Course User Participation Report to better reflect the watch completion status of a video. With this update the column in the report has changed from Finished to Completed, reflecting the completion state of the video. Instead of a simple finished state, this column now shows whether the user successfully completed the video. If they have completed the video we list the date they gained completion. If the video is not yet complete we list the percentage they have watched so far. This gives admins and instructors more insight into their learners' engagement with the videos and can help them quickly determine if the user is missing completion for a video.
